Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

Rensa ("the app") measures and cleans up the disk of your Mac. It is built so that nothing about your files ever leaves your Mac. We do not collect, store, share or sell any personal data.

In short: Rensa has no network access, no server, no account, no analytics and no advertising. Everything it learns about your disk stays on your Mac.

What the app reads

What the app stores

Rensa keeps, inside its own sandbox container on your Mac:

Deleting the app removes all of it.

What leaves your Mac

Nothing. Rensa has no network access, so it cannot send anything anywhere. There is no account, no crash reporting of our own and no third-party code that collects data. If you have chosen to share analytics with Apple in System Settings, Apple may receive anonymous crash reports covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Changes to your files

Rensa only moves items to the Trash, or frees the local copy of a cloud file, after you review them and confirm. You can put moved items back from Recently Removed in the app, or from the Trash, until you empty it.

Price and purchases

Rensa is completely free. It has no in-app purchases, so no payment details are ever involved.

Children

Rensa does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
